Design Story:

With delicate brushes and natural pigments, the artisans captured the essence of Kashmir’s wildflowers. At the heart of the design, golden-yellow roses and crimson peonies unfurl in full bloom, their petals symbolizing prosperity, love, and the region’s enduring beauty. Surrounding them, vibrant orange marigolds add a touch of warmth, reminiscent of the autumnal glow that blankets the valley. Tiny blue forget-me-nots and purple violets, scattered across the plate like stars, pay homage to the delicate wildflowers that dot Kashmir’s meadows, while their lush green leaves mirror the verdant landscapes nurtured by the region’s rivers.

The plate’s border, framed in deep red with intricate detailing, reflects the geometric patterns and floral motifs passed down through generations of Kashmiri craftsmen, blending Persian influences with local artistry. Each flower and leaf, meticulously painted by hand, carries the patience and precision of Jos and Fine’s artisans, who have honed their skills over centuries to create pieces that tell the story of Kashmir’s natural and cultural heritage.

This plate is more than a decorative treasure—it’s a symphony of Shalimar’s garden, inviting you to hear the whispers of Kashmir’s flowers and feel the heartbeat of its timeless craft tradition. Whether displayed on a wall or used as a centerpiece, it brings the magic of the valley into your home
