In this modern reimagination, Jos and Fine's artisans translate the essence of the Ardabil into a more intimate 6 x 4 ft format, balancing reverence for tradition with the delicacy of contemporary refinement. Every motif is meticulously hand-knotted at 484 knots per square inch (60 Raj, ~0.75 million knots per square meter) in pure silk—an achievement that speaks to both patience and precision.
 
The design radiates from a commanding central medallion, encircled by finely articulated floral arabesques, tendrils, and palmettes. The field glows with deep shades of burnt gold, chestnut, and onyx, while the intricate borders frame the work with rhythmic symmetry, echoing the grandeur of the original Ardabil.
